Accommodations

Tokyo has an enormous number of accommodation options. The following list suggests only a few examples among many others.

Trains and buses run very frequently from early in the morning to late in the night (see Transportation in Tokyo & Useful Tips). So it is easy to commute from other areas in Tokyo – Shinjuku, Ikebukuro/Sugamo, Nakano, etc. (though Tozai line is infamous for the worst rush hours).

  • Low-budget options (bunk beds) are also available

Hotel Sunroute Higashi Shinjuku

    (1) 27 mins. walk (2.2km)
    (2) Toei Bus “早77” (from Higashi-Shinjuku Station, 6 stops to Nishiwaseda)
  • 1 min. walk from Higashi-Shinjuku Station on Oedo line and Fukutoshin line. These lines take you to most big districts in Tokyo – e.g. Shinjuku, Metropolitan Government Bldg., Ikebukuro, Harajuku, and Shibuya.
